Don't know who wrote this but I found it so funny - and so true, so have adopted it as my seasonal message to you:
Hi,
Please accept with no obligation, implied or implicit, my best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, gender neutral, low stress, non addictive, celebration of the winter solstice holiday, practised within the most enjoyable traditions of the religious persuasion of your choice, or secular practices of your choice with respect for the religious / secular persuasions and or traditions of others, or their choice not to practice religious or secular traditions at all.
Have a financially successful, personally fulfilling and medically uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted calendar year of 2010 but not without due respect for the calendar of choice of other cultures whose contributions to society have helped to make Britain great - not to imply that is necessarily greater than any other country or is indeed the only Britain in the Western Hemisphere; and without regard to race, creed, colour, age, physical ability, religious faith, or sexual orientation of the wishee.

Now that the date of my appartment is getting closer and I'm actually planning all the purchases, it's all getting a bit scary. I know I'm not forced to leave the house but if I don't do it now, when will I ever get on my own two feet? At such times, I'm thinking it'd be easier if you'd have a boyfriend so you're plunging into the adventure together. Of course, as I'm just moving down the street, I'm never too far away from home and I do have plenty of rehearsals to keep me busy.
It's just all the calculations now of buying furniture and electrical appliances and such things that leave me fearing I won't be able to go on a little trip or be forced to miss such fun things altogether.
Perhaps it's just my current anxious/emotional/blah mood that is bringing me fear though.
How did you all manage it?

Last night
my_2_black_cats and
fairygothmum and our friend Row had our annual Christmas get together. Had an Italian meal in my local village then returned for a Photoshoot then discovered that the end of Die Hard was on TV followed by Sweeney Todd so a good evening was had by all
I had an excellent time last night at the house of
grigorisgirl . Many thanks to her,
fairygothmum and our other friend Row for a great night.
We went for a lovely Italian meal where business was so slow that we had a waiter each (not in the biblical sense lol)but the food was wonderful.
After that we exchanged Christmas pressies and had a 'professional' photo shoot in grigoris_girl 's home studio
A good time was had by all..............
